Day 01     Arrive Kochi

On arrival at Cochin International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to the historic Fort Kochi. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the Mattancherry and Fort Kochi areas. In Mattancherry, you can stroll through the vibrant spice market, browse the antique shops on Jew's Street, visit the Jewish Synagogue (closed on Saturdays), and explore the Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays), among other sights. In Fort Kochi, take a walk along the ancient harbor, rich with colonial history, and admire the Chinese fishing nets and St. Francis Church. If you prefer a guided tour, we can arrange it. Enjoy a relaxing Harbour Cruise in the evening, if offered by the hotel. Overnight in Brunton Boatyard.

Day 02     Kochi to Thekkady (195 Kms, 5 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive through the unending expanse of rubber plantations, lush green mountains, bubbling streams, and scenic viewpoints to reach Thekkady, a dream destination surrounded by the fragrant aroma of cardamom and spice plantations. The surrounding forests add to its charm. On arrival, check in to Spice Village Resort. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to unwind and enjoy the resort’s amenities. You can relax in the serene surroundings, take a refreshing swim, or simply enjoy some downtime. Alternatively, you may choose to engage in activities like a cooking demonstration or a cultural program.. Overnight at Spice Village Thekkady.

Day 03     At Thekkady

Early morning, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Periyar to observe the local wildlife (passengers must join the queue and pay directly for tickets). After breakfast, the day is free to explore the surroundings at your leisure. Take a relaxing walk through the charming streets and vibrant markets of nearby Kumily town, or simply unwind in the peaceful environment of Spice Village. For those seeking adventure, optional excursions such as Jungle Trekking or the Night Patrol program, organized by the Forest Department (seasonal, subject to availability and operation), are available. Alternatively, indulge in an Ayurvedic massage at the resort or enjoy an elephant ride or a traditional bullock cart ride, all at an additional cost, payable directly. Day 04     Thekkady to Kumarakom (140 Kms, 4 Hrs)

After breakfast, descend from the hills, passing through lush green mountains, seasonal streams, and charming towns, before reaching the melodically named town of Kumarakom, an exotic backwater destination on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Here, board a boat to Coconut Lagoon, an eco-friendly resort created from restored heritage homes. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to unwind and enjoy the resort’s amenities. You can relax in the serene surroundings, take a refreshing swim, or simply enjoy some downtime. In the evening, embark on a sunset cruise on the lake aboard a converted rice boat, drifting to the sounds of a flute. Day 05     Kumarakom - Board Spice Coast Cruise

Wake up to the melodious songs of birds from the nearby sanctuary and prepare for a rejuvenating yoga session that nurtures both your body and mind. After breakfast, embark on a bird-watching walk through the resort, accompanied by a knowledgeable naturalist. Before lunch, check out from Coconut Lagoon and board the Spice Coast Cruises for an unforgettable journey. As you cruise along, immerse yourself in the captivating beauty of the backwaters, with palm-fringed waterways, Chinese fishing nets, rustic homes, and ancient temples lining the shores. You can also take a walk through the paddy fields or explore the nearby villages. Enjoy freshly prepared meals onboard, featuring authentic Kerala cuisine. Day 06    Spice Coast Cruise to Mararikulam. (15 Kms, 30 Mnts)

After breakfast, disembark at Puthanangadi jetty at 10:00 hrs and take a scenic 30-minute drive to Marari Beach Resort. Upon arrival, check in to your private villa. Marari Beach Resort is more than just its beautiful sandy shores and calm sea. It's a peaceful haven where you can enjoy the simplicity and beauty of nature. This is not a destination for loud parties or water sports. Instead, it's perfect for those looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life and embrace quiet relaxation. Spend your afternoon unwinding in the shade of coconut groves or taking a refreshing swim. In the evening, enjoy soothing music and participate in a cooking class to learn the secrets of Kerala’s traditional cuisine. Overnight at Marari Beach.

Day 07     At Mararikulam

After breakfast, spend the morning exploring the area and nearby fishing villages on a bicycle or take a refreshing dip in the sea. You may also walk across the road to the organic farm, where the freshest vegetables and fruits are grown for the resort. For nature lovers, the resort's butterfly garden offers a serene spot to enjoy the vibrant colors of local butterflies. If you're interested in the dishes you've encountered, the Chef may be able to offer some guidance on recreating them. Optional tours can also be arranged by the resort, to keep you busy throughout the day at an additional cost. Overnight in Marari beach.

Day 08     Mararikulam- Kochi airport ( 100 Kms, 3 Hrs)

After breakfast, take some leisurely moments to soak in the last glimpses of Kerala’s beauty. Enjoy a relaxed morning, perfect for some last-minute photos to capture the essence of your journey or for a final stroll around your resort surroundings. You can also double-check your belongings and pack at ease before departure.

By noon, we will transfer you to Kochi Airport, approximately a two-hour drive, or Ernakulam Railway Station, about 90 minutes away, for your return journey. We recommend booking your flight or train departing after 17:00 hrs. We hope you take back wonderful memories and joyful moments.

You will have to arrive and depart from Kochi Airport (COK). If by train, you will have arrive at Ernakulam Town (ERN) or Ernakulam Junction (ERS).

Most hotels in Kerala follow 12 Noon check-in and 1000 Hrs check-out practice.In order to enhance the experience you can arrive in the morning before noon. Bruntyon Boatyard is say 90 Minutes drive from airport and 30 Minutes from rail Stations.We recomment to arrive between 1000-1100 Hrs

Departure Tips

We recommend to depart Kochi after 1700-1800 Hrs. Marari to airport is two hours drive. If you depart late, may be have time for some last minute photo sessions.

For late arrivals

If your flight or train can only bring you after say 1600 Hrs, please take extra night at Kochi for shopping and Temple visits.
