Day 01     Arrive Kochi

On arrival at Cochin International Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, the afternoon is reserved for Kochi sightseeing, where you can explore the vibrant Mattancherry and Fort Kochi Islands. In Mattancherry, stroll through the spice market, browse the antique shops on Jew's Street, visit the Jewish Synagogue (closed on Saturdays), and explore the Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays), among other attractions. In Fort Kochi, rich in colonial history, admire the iconic Chinese fishing nets and St. Francis Church. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Kochi.

Day 02     Kochi-Temples-Kumarakom

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through picturesque palm-fringed villages, making your way to the exotic Kumarakom, nestled on the tranquil banks of Vembanad Lake. For those interested in spirituality, we can take a detour to visit some of the region’s most revered temples, including the Chottanikkara Temple and Vaikom Shiva Temple.

Upon arrival in Kumarakom, check in to your hotel, where you can unwind and soak in the peaceful ambiance. You can relax by the lake, take a refreshing swim, or simply sit back and marvel at the magic of the backwaters, watching life unfold in this idyllic haven. Overnight in Kumarakom. (B)

Day 03     Free day at Kumarakom

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely day exploring Kumarakom, a charming village known for its lush landscapes and tranquil backwaters. You can hire a boat to explore the serene waters or simply relax at the resort. Optional activities, available at an additional cost, include Ayurvedic massages and other resort offerings to keep you entertained. For a temple experience, consider visiting the Ettumanoor Shiva Temple, located 18 km away. There are plenty of activities available, and the hotel can assist with any arrangements. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and make the most of this idyllic destination. Overnight in Kumarakom. (B)

Day 04     Kumarakom-Houseboat

After an early breakfast, enjoy some free time in Kumarakom. Later, depart for Alleppey around 10:30 AM. The houseboat cruise begins at 12:00 PM, and arriving late may cause you to miss some of the experience. On arrival board your houseboat.

As you cruise along, immerse yourself in the spectacular beauty of the backwaters, featuring palm-fringed waterways, Chinese fishing nets, rustic homes, and temples. You may also choose to walk through the paddy fields or stroll through local villages. All meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—will be freshly prepared and served onboard, featuring authentic Kerala cuisine.

Common facilities onboard include A/C bedrooms with private toilets, a kitchen, sundeck, and living area. The cruise will last for 4 to 5 hours during the day, as the boat will not operate after 17:00 hrs due to fishing nets. For deluxe boats, the A/C will be switched on only after 20:30 hrs. Day 05     Disembark at Alleppey & Drive to Kovalam (4 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast onboard, disembark at Alleppey around 9:00 AM and be transferred to Kovalam, a stunning beach destination renowned for its palm-fringed bays, tranquil coconut groves, and captivating tropical beauty. The drive along the National Highway will offer scenic views of Kerala's picturesque landscape. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel, where the rest of the day is free for you to explore at your own pace. You may choose to relax and enjoy the resort's amenities or take a leisurely stroll along the beautiful beaches. Overnight at Kovalam. (B)

Day 06     Trivandrum Sight Seeing. At Kovalam

After breakfast we go to Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. Upon arrival, the sightseeing tour of Thiruvananthapuram takes you to important places like Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple (Hindus only, Ladies to be in sarees and gents should be in dhothi without shirt, The drshan timings are restricted), Temple Museums, Sri Chitra Art Gallery (closed on Fridays), Napier Museum (closed on Fridays), etc. After the tour, drive back to Kovalam. The afternoon is free for independent activities. You can enjoy the resort’s facilities, relax by the beach, or explore the beautiful surroundings. Overnight at Kovalam. (B)

Day 07     Depart from Trivandrum

After breakfast, take some leisurely moments to soak in the last glimpses of Kerala’s beauty. Enjoy a relaxed morning, perfect for some last-minute photos to capture the essence of your journey or for a final stroll around your resort surroundings. You can also double-check your belongings and pack at ease before departure. (B)

By noon, we will transfer you to Trivandrum airport (TRV, 30 Minutes away) or Trivandrum Railway Station (TVC, 01 Hour away), for your return journey. We recommend booking your flight or train departing after 17:00 hrs. It has been a real pleasure serving you over these few days. Early morning watch the most spectacular sun-rise from the town where three great oceans meet. After breakfast you have some free time to visit the Kumari Amman temple. Latre we drop you at Kanyakumari Stations. Alternatively we drive you to Trivandrum. We drop you at Trivandrum airport or Trivandrum railway Stations (Trivandrum departure should be after 1500 Hrs) for your return journey. (B)

You will have to arrive at Kochi Airport (COK) and depart Trivandrum Airport (TRV). If it is train Arrive at Ernakulam Town (ERN) or Ernakulam Junction (ERS). Depart at Trivandrum Railway Station (TVM).You can consider taking your return journey from Kanyakumari Railway Station (CAPE) also.

Most hotels in Kerala follow 12 Noon check-in and 1000 Hrs check-out practice.In order to enhance the experience you can arrive in the morning before noon.

Departure Tips

Please book flights or trains departing in the afternoon sothat you have some time for last minute packing and last minute photo sessions.

For late arrivals

If your flight or train can only bring you after say 1600 Hrs, please take extra night at Kochi.
